My hope for this portfolio is to get past the resume platitudes and give a better understanding of what drives me, what I find most fulfilling, and what you can expect from me before we've had a chance to speak.

I was Active Duty Army for ten years as an Administrative Clerk. With a clerical job I found myself having many roles, along side that, involving logistics, organization, planning, and management. I spent the first three years assigned to a combat arms unit at Fort Lewis, Washington. Working in Personnel Actions (S1) and Operations (S3) galvanized my ideas and views on leadership, managing and equipping teams, and streamlining processes.
Each of my Active Duty assignments have been different from the next which I thrived on without knowing it at the time. My assignment to the Recruiting Command on Fort Knox, Kentucky contributed to my customer service and executive support skills. While in South Korea I worked as a mail clerk which leaned back towards logistics but without a lot of room for streamlining. That role required me to support those around me and work independently since there was a lot of travel involved.
Since leaving Active Duty I've acquired experience in public speaking, teaching, data entry, warehouse electronics recycling, as well as supporting my own clients networking, technology, and general IT needs.
I've learned not to avoid new experiences or challenges and I've had the chance to work with a wide range of people, in different environments, in order to be successful.
